The Butterfly Project Phase II: A New VOS Mitzvah Project!

In April, 150 VOS congregants and community members painted butterflies as part of The Butterfly Project – a call to action through the arts using the lessons of the Holocaust to education about the dangers of hatred and bigotry through painting ceramic butterflies that memorialize each of the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust.

Our next step is to assemble butterfly kits for other organizations and talk about ways we can help spread the word on social media, in schools, synagogues, churches, scout troops, etc. It will be fun, empowering, and very worthwhile!

Please contact Julie Goren at jgoren9048@aol.com to reserve your spot for our kickoff on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 2-4 p.m.  Space is limited.  All ages welcome!
