Program Highlights

• Jewish Education at Home – Enhancing the sense of community and comfort among the students, our program brings Jewish learning into the home.

• Experienced, Innovative and Caring Teachers – Our teachers have experience teaching all levels of Hebrew and Judaic study.

• Bar/Bat Mitzvah Preparation – Each student receives instuctions in prayers, Torah, Haftarah and service leadership.

• Mitzvah Program – Younger classes identify and participate in a class mitzvah project, while B’nei Mitzvah students study and practice various mitzvot, culminating in a personal mitzvah project.

• Community Events – Family Sukkot Campout; Annual JEWELS Chanukah Party; Hiking & Planting Trees for Tu’Bshvat; Passover Experience; Year End Family Shabbaton; and more.

• JEWELS - VOS Shabbat Services – Valley Outreach Synagogue provides a variety of creative Shabbat experiences and services for our families. Once a year, JEWELS students participate in creating and leading a VOS service.

• Opportunities for Parent and Family Involvement – Many events include the entire family and JEM. Family Shabbat Dinners and other community involvement are encouraged.
